LATARJET SURGERY FOR RECURRENT DISLOCATION

In some circumstances, arthroscopic stabilization of unstable shoulder is not possible eg., glenoid bone loss or large Hill sach's lesion. In that cause open surgery required.


Surgical Procedure

  1. Wound over front of shoulder is usually made, around 5 cm
  2. Coracoid is divided & transferred to front of glenoid & fixed with screws
  3. Bone is allowed to heal
  4. Physio is started in 4 weeks post surgery
