The Process

Typically, this involves 2-3 days of hospitalization with a rest phase of 3 weeks. Either a local or general anaesthesia will be given to you before the surgery to ensure you are at ease at all times without any pain or discomfort. The surgeon will make small cuts inside the nostril and in the inner bone is reshaped to enhance and improve the overall appearance of the nose.

A cartilage graft will be taken from the ear or rib to improve the shape of the nose.

Recovery

After the surgery, you will require to wear a nasal splint for one week. In addition, you may experience some swelling and discomfort near the eyes which will begin to subside after the first three days and sometimes last for a couple of weeks. It is important to understand that it could take a few months for your nose to heal completely after the surgery.
